AeroDoor International has announced a one-piece hydraulic door that will be deliverable with ancillaries such as hydraulic rams, weather-stripping and hydraulic lines preinstalled.
The move is targeted to significantly reduce the time it takes to install these one-piece swing doors, which are a popular choice on aircraft hangars and farm buildings.
AeroDoor President, John Mathews said "Most customers who purchase hydraulic doors are faced with reassembling the door when it arrives - that's because these big steel doors are cut down into manageable sections for shipping purposes. The time it takes a customer to put the door back together, comes down to experience and the number of extra hands they have. Customers who order our onepiece door can pick it up from the trailer and place it straight into their opening - it's that simple.
We then decided to look at what else we could do during the manufacturing stages to increase efficiency and that's when we came up with the idea of pre-installing the hydraulic cylinders, weatherstripping and hydraulic fluid lines.
The erection time and cost that we save our customers with the one-piece door will depend on the size of the door, but by removing most of the installation duties we're told the saving is significant, especially when customers are paying for their door to be installed."

installation of aircraft hangar doors has been awarded the hangar door contract for a new tee hangar
development at Crystal River Airport, in Citrus County Florida.
AeroDoor will design, build and deliver its AeroSwing hydraulic door for all ten new t-hangars that will offer
a 44-feet wide by 14-feet tall clear opening. AeroDoor President, John Mathews said "AeroDoor embrace

All ten of the hydraulic doors will be delivered to the site in one-piece - another service AeroDoor believe sets them apart from the competition. The full project, managed by Marbek Construction, includes a 10 unit nested t-hangar building, with associated taxi lanes, ponds and drainage facilities, electrical facilities and utilities.
Improvements also include a parking lot and future utilities for a sanitary lift station and sanitary force main.
