AeroDoor delivers hydraulic hangar door solution to Florida airpark.
Signature Enterprises prides itself on constructing buildings of distinction and this spectacular hangar home featuring our AeroSwing hydraulic door is certainly no exception. Located on a 1.5 acre parcel in Summerfield, Florida, this residential hangar is home to a beautifully restored 1940 Aeronca Champ.
AeroDoor’s wide portfolio of door systems allowed us to deliver both hydraulic door and coiling door requirements on this project. This made sales and after sales services simple for both contractor and end user.
The AeroSwing hydraulic door delivers a strong, durable and sealed solution that was built to meet the needs of Summerfield's 120MPH wind load requirements. The window arrangement and sizes were built to the client’s requirement and sheeting was later installed by contractor.
It's common for other hydraulic door manufacturers to split their door into pieces for shipment. This means the door must be rebuilt like a jigsaw on arrival, adding time and dollars to your installation. This 46' x 14' AeroSwing hydraulic door was delivered in one-piece! On the day the door arrived at the site it was lifted from the delivery trailer and placed in the opening. No door assembly was required.
To reduce installation time even further, AeroSwing hydraulic doors can be delivered with ancillaries such as hydraulic rams, weather stripping and fluid lines pre-installed. (State restrictions may apply)

Design and strength are fundamental keys to hangar construction
In 2006 a severe tornado cut through the heart of Embry Riddle’s campus in Daytona Beach, Florida. The tornado completely destroyed the 130ft x 130ft maintenance hangar and two thirds of the school’s aircraft.
When plans were approved to design and build a new maintenance hangar, it was critical that the building and hangar doors be engineered to meet costal Florida’s high wind load requirements.
AeroDoor has a history of designing and manufacturing hangar doors that can successfully withstand Florida’s hurricane force winds. From the beginning of the project, AeroDoor was part of the design and build team working with the architect, engineer and general contractor to insure the hangar door design integrated with the building system.
AeroDoor engineered, designed and built a custom bottom rolling door to meet Embry Riddle's requirements. The door is a motor operated, biparting, fully weather-stripped door with a top guide configuration that allows the doors to remain in the closed position even at the full deflection limits of the building.
AeroDoor took full responsibility for the complete track, rail, door, and motor operation installation. Furthermore, Embry Riddle knows it can rely on Aero’s trained employees to always be available for routine maintenance and service.
APOPKA Florida. January 5th 2012 - AeroDoor International LLC, a leader in design, manufacture and installation of aircraft hangar doors has been awarded the hangar door contract for a new tee hangar development at Crystal River Airport, in Citrus County Florida.
AeroDoor will design, build and supply its AeroSwing hydraulic door on all ten new t-hangars that will offer a 44-feet wide by 14-feet tall clear opening. AeroDoor President, John Mathews said "AeroDoor embrace hangar door opportunities like this and look forward to meeting the needs of both owner and contractor. Our (Central Florida) location makes AeroDoor very attractive to hangar door opportunities in the south because of the price and after sales services that we can offer".
All ten of the hydraulic doors will be delivered to the site in one-piece - another service AeroDoor believe sets them apart from the competition. Most door companies deliver hydraulic doors in multiple sections and need to be pre assembled first - AeroDoor' doors will arrive in one-piece ready to be placed straight into the opening - saving the general contractor valuable install time and money.
The full project, delivered by Marbek Construction, includes a 10 unit nested t-hangar building, with associated taxi lanes, ponds and drainage facilities, electrical facilities and utilities. Improvements also include a parking lot and future utilities for a sanitary lift station and sanitary force main.
